"Ear and hearing care for all!"
Let’s make it a reality
World Hearing Day 2023 will highlight the importance of integrating ear and hearing care within primary care, as an essential component of universal health coverage
- Ear and hearing problems are among the most common problems encountered in the community.
- Over 60% of these can be identified and addressed at the primary level of care.
- Integration of ear and hearing care into primary care services is possible through training and capacity building at this level.
Such integration will benefit people and help countries move towards the goal of universal health coverage.

"You Can Ask That"
To create a conversation about hearing loss and how it impacts different parts of our community, the Deafness Council of WA ran “You Can Ask That” on 3 March 2022.
Celebrating World Hearing Day, “You Can Ask That” provides a unique and interesting forum for all members of our community to hear from people who have had an experience with hearing loss, either themselves, as carers, and/or as parents.
The webinar provided the opportunity for people to ask questions of experts in the field who gave unbiased advice and information about what people can do for themselves or their loved ones.
The recorded webinars can be viewed below.
